Community of Practice
Practices of Composting and Hospicing Community is a global community of practice for people developing tools, resources, and practices fostering better project and organization endings. It grew out of Stewarding Loss, a UK-based field-building initiative, that was spurred by the belief that endings needed to be designed as processes rather than simply endured as painful experiences.
The community comprises a Slack community along virtual gathering with an international slate of guests from across civil society — from museums, to cemeteries, universities, and even theaters.
This community is self-funded (for now!), but grew out of seed funding from the Joseph Rowntree Foundation’s Emerging Futures Initiative. Please reach out if you might be able to financially support this work!
